It is normal and okay if you are feeling nervous about your first session. Our first session will be an opportunity to take a snapshot of where you are in time and space. Sometimes that may look like a discharge of emotions or feeling completely numb and empty inside.
Please remind yourself that you do not have to share everything that has happened append to you in your first session. This can often be re-traumatizing and not always helpful.
I may have some questions for you regarding the symptoms that led you to seek therapy and what you are hoping to gain from this experience.
We will take our time. We will go at your pace.
I look forward to meet you!
90 minute sessions are $200 and 60 minute sessions are $150
Please reach out if you cannot afford therapy. Lack of funds should never get in the way of your healing.
Group therapy is a sacred gathering where each voice is a thread, weaving together a tapestry of shared humanity. Within this circle, the pain we carry is no longer ours alone—it becomes held, witnessed, and softened by the presence of others. It is both mirror and medicine: in the stories of others, we recognize our own; in our sharing, we offer light to someone else’s path. The circle becomes a living ritual, where vulnerability is strength and belonging becomes the soil from which peace and renewal grow.
Held within confidentiality and clear boundaries, this sacred space becomes a true container of safety. What is shared here remains protected, creating the trust that allows authenticity to unfold and vulnerability to be honored. Within this sanctuary, each person is free to arrive as they are, knowing they will be received with respect, reverence, and care.
Our defenses are not only psychological but also embodied—woven into our breath, muscles, and posture as a kind of “armor.” These patterns, formed to shield us from pain and pressure, can also restrict the natural flow of feeling and aliveness. A somatic based psychotherapist or practitioners bring gentle awareness to the body—softening tension, deepening breath, and honoring what has been held—we begin to release old burdens. In this way, the body becomes both the doorway and the guide, allowing repressed emotions and memories to surface and transform, restoring connection, vitality, and freedom.
Trauma often lodges not just in the mind but in the muscles, breath, and nervous system. In these sessions, you are gently guided to notice sensations, release tension, and reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been fragmented or shut down. Through this mindful attention to the body, repressed emotions can surface safely, memories can be processed, and the nervous system can learn to relax and regulate. Over time, this integration restores a sense of safety, wholeness, and the ability to move through life with greater ease, presence, and resilience.
Prior to schedule an appointment, I'd like to invite you to schedule a consultation call to explore if my approach aligns with the support you are looking for.
Once we have both agreed to work together, you will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule your follow up appointments.
