Sliding Scale: A Nurturing, Community-Care Approach
Sliding Scale: A Nurturing, Community-Care Approach
Healing deserves to be accessible, tender, and rooted in the understanding that we all move through the world with different levels of support. My sliding scale is designed with a care-based, anti-capitalist, and parent-centered lens. It honors the labor of caregiving, the pressures of survival, and the reality that our financial resources ebb and flow.
You are invited to choose the rate that feels gentle on your nervous system, respectful of your resources, and honoring of the work we do together.
The Three Circles of Care
For those living with financial constraint or systemic barriers—especially single mothers, parents of infants, disabled folks, and community members facing deportation, threat of deportation and/or unemploymnet.
$60 – $100 per session
This rate is supported by the community at large.
You are welcome here without justification or proof.
Your lived reality is enough.
For those who can meet basic needs, have some stability, and are able to invest in themselves while also navigating responsibilities.
$100 – $170 per session
This rate reflects the true cost of sustaining my practice long-term—covering training, supervision, and time spent outside session tending to the therapeutic container.
For those with financial comfort, access to generational or household income, or fewer caregiving burdens.
$170 – $200 per session
Choosing this rate helps nourish the entire ecosystem of care, allowing me to offer reduced-fee support to those with limited access.
It is an act of quiet, meaningful solidarity.
How to Choose Your Rate
Take a breath, check in with your body, and choose the number that feels:
sustainable,
supportive of your healing,
and aligned with your current season of life.
There is no application, no questions asked, and no justification required.
We simply honor truth, circumstance, and care.
We revisit fees every 6 months, or anytime your financial situation shifts.
What Somatic Integration sessions are NOT
Not psychotherapy or mental health treatment
These sessions do not include diagnosis, clinical assessment, or treatment of mental health disorders.
Not a substitute for therapy, medical care, or crisis support
If you are experiencing acute distress, suicidal thoughts, or require clinical support, this work is not the appropriate container.
Not primarily talk-based
While dialogue is part of our work, sessions are centered in the body—through sensation, movement, breath, and imagination.
Not passive or done “to” you
This is a collaborative, participatory process. You are an active participant, not a recipient of a service.
Not about bypassing or avoiding discomfort
We gently build the capacity to be with what is present. This work may involve engaging with difficult, overwhelming, or unresolved experiences.
Not a quick fix or surface-level solution
Integration is a process that unfolds over time. It asks for presence, curiosity, and willingness.
Not for those unwilling or unable to engage with the body
This work invites you into direct relationship with your body’s sensations and signals. A willingness to explore this is essential.
